"Weed"

Eng. Ch. Raeburnfoot Royal Mail x Rainsbarrow Lavender Locket

Starting from the top, “Weed” has an incredible head with a strong muzzle and lovely eye.   He has a good shoulder that is flat and well laid back. His front is narrow and straight and carries to his lovely flat rib, his topline true, and his rear is strong with good angulation.  He moves well and is always a gentleman!  He is an imported dog from the working kennel of Roger and Doreen Westmoreland in the Lake District of England.   Already taking after his older sister, Ch Rainsbarrow Lapsana, and his dam, the matriarch of working bitches of the Coniston Fox Hounds, Weed has worked successfully to Ground Hog.  Weed finished his Championship before 1 year of age.  Very  lightly show in 2000, he received an Award of Merit at the BTCA Specialty in 2000.  In his next show, he was BOB at Morris and Essex, and in the same weekend was BOS at Montgomery Co.

Weed, as a sire, has led the US in sire of Champions, in 2001, 2002 and also 2003.  At the 2002 BTCA Specialty in Long Beach, CA,  3 of the 4 winners of the Sweepstakes were all sired by Weed!  An incredible victory for such a young sire!  The Best Pup in Sweeps and also the BOS are both sired by Weed.  He is an incredible sire, and will go down in history as a sire of sires.
